Just beautiful! I've encountered P. psycodes, but never these gems...

*best* name in the plant world- rhythmical, variegated, slightly ridiculous, accurately descriptive and very attractive. All fictional heroines should be named thus.
Bonus points for being a lovely plant.

Stunning. I was lucky enough to encounter its more common relative recently,
Platanthera psycodes

Dear Whimsy,
Work obligates travel to Philadelphia during the week of the 16th-22nd. Don't know how often you make it down there, but feel like meeting up for discussion and drinks? Also, any recommendations of local curiosities and restaurants would be greatly appreciated. I'm kind of disappointed that the Wagner Institute of Science will be on summer vacation, but c'est la vie.
