In the parallel world where the Native Americans beat the Euro-insurgents for dominance of the North American continent, people are clearly much better-dressed. Apart from yourself, Your Lordship, clearly.

The Amerindian style with a dash of European is breathtaking, but even the stiff, dour European style has its moments when it naturalizes in the Americas. For my money, Beau Brummell can't hold a candle to the likes of Quaker botanist and explorer, William Bartram. The sprig of poet's jasmine in his waistcoat combined with the kind look on his face is marvelous. He lived among the native tribes of the southeast for a few years during his explorations. The Seminole called him "Puc-Pugee", the flower hunter. His writings on his travels inspired the Romantic poets.

As for my own style: lately I've gone a bit native.
