Well, allow me to suggest a pair of impossibly sleek, snug pair of custom-fit trousers for that stylish rake in your life!

Wait--perhaps you are that "stylish rake" in your life? Well then, aren't you a lucky devil, because by the power invested in me by Mr. James Kessler of A Fine Tooth, I hereby offer you all a $20 Whimsy Discount on his line of custom-fitted, hand-finished trousers!

These trousers come in three styles:

1) Kickflare

2) Stovepipe

3) Highwater

A Fine Tooth's fitted trousers are the next best thing to bespoke; they have devised a complex sizing system that will ensure a custom fit to your body. If they don't fit to your liking, A Fine Tooth will send you a pair that will.

As for me: I'm getting a pair of olive stovepipes. See you on the boulevard!

They look pretty nifty, except I don't have a beau to spend money on. *Le sigh.*

Augh! If only they made some for women as well. I would order in a heartbeat.

No doubt! Kick flares would be just the thing. Alas.

so very agreed! I am not androgynous enough to fit into men's pants, I am afraid.

I would absolutely buy a pair of kickflare or stovepipe pants for myself. Alas, I cannot fit into men's trousers.

Also, despite my various attempts, my Bear resists dandyfication, therefore it appears as though I cannot give them my monies.

I would think that since they are custom fitted, though, that they could be custom fitted to be lady trousers. I personally wouldn't think Mr. Kessler would be all that opposed to sharing the wealth of well-made pants.

Male and female trousers are very different in construction. That's in part why you see very little crossover between men's and women's tailoring.

Ahh, that makes sense, then. Much more to it than just getting the sizing right.

Are stovepipes the same as the drainpipes that used to be worn with winklepickers? Or maybe that was just in the UK.

I too would love some custom fitted lady-trousers. Alack.

Although I have no beau for whom to buy these, I would love to get some of these for my dad, because he is so difficult to fit. The poor man has no rear end to speak of and refuses to acknowledge that any kind of pants exist other than dockers.

Very nice, yet all i can think of are the Beau Brummels & this bit from a Chaos UK song, "They're drain-pipe trowser-tastic!"

Nice. If you're a smaller gent these days, your only choice to find clothing that fits well is to get it custom made. That or find vintage before the ballooning/sports-wearification of the nation.

Truer words never said.

It's all but impossible to find off-the-rack jackets that fit; the smallest you'll find in 99% of men's shops is a 38 regular. That's why I tend to frequent shops that cater to younger people, because they make clothes for slimmer, smaller frames.

You needn't tell me. A 34 short is a rare thing indeed.

Hopefully your influence is not so great as to have them all sold by the weekend, when I should have such funds as can be fluttered away on gunmetal stovepipes.

I've wasted so much money deluding myself into thinking I'm an off-the-rack 38, when in reality I'm a 36 or 37. Unfortunately I live in a very backwards city without any selection of custom-made clothing. Aside from vintage shows, does your Lordship have any recommendations on shops where one can find these fabled well-fitting suits and blazers?

...nice idea, and I hope many people are able to take advantage of the kind offer...and I presume having trousers named after one is perhaps right up there with matters near-sartorial called after royalty or towns, like...oh, Homburgs, or a Prince Albert...

...anything easier to wear that might make that list, by the way...? Everything I can think of now either risks falling off, or never quite ever getting loose...

Hm, very tempting, Sir! I used to own something similar to the kickflare and even stovepipe range. But that was thirty years ago, when they played the disco at the disco. I can still wear men´s trousers though (thankyou papa), do they come in slim, long sizes, too? Like 176? Hm...

Thanks for posting this. Being tall and thin, I have a terrible time finding pants that truly fit, and most of those that do are jeans. I've taken advantage of the coupon and my pants will be at my door next week. Very exciting. The service has been remarkable and I'll definitely do business with A Fine Tooth again.
