they had a tiger and a camel body option and they went with goat as their flagship?

My favorite part: To create more amusement, we suggest that goat be manipulated by persons wearing burlesque costumes.

These sorts of mechanical goats were really popular for a while in 19th century fraternal organizations. Even today in Masonic lodges there is frequently joking about "riding the goat" during various rituals!

I love it when Arthur finds this kind of stuff. Thank goodness it's back after a battle between the two co-owners.

...hmm, it is perhaps interesting that my recent want-to-acquire passion is for the www.iJoyRide.co.uk , also available in the US, which is the ideal bottom half of your much-more-entertaining-looking fittings above...

...and I wanted to ask seriusly, man-to-man (well, except for the part where I'm not a man), what you meant by the recent humourous comment about Brioni...I have only lately come to the company, in the sense of finding the exquisite handmade ties (which was indeed a magical artifact, unexpectedly, as I posted at the time), and I am actually wearing and enjoying one of the shirts today, scored new at a drastic bargain price...is it a sort of inside joke, that only a certain type of poser wears them now, or something...? Is it like burberry getting all chav and lagerlout...? Please let me know, because I innocently enjoy the couple of bits of Brioni that I have, and do not flaunt them in any sort of pretentious label-glued-to-forehead way...thanks!

Enjoy your Brioni--it's damn fine stuff. It wasn't really a dig at Brioni so much as it was a tongue-in-cheek device to lampoon a certain type of New Yorker who despite wearing an $8000 suit is anything but civilized. Gotti, Giuliani and Trump are all known to wear Brioni, and I was exploiting that. That said, if someone gave me ten thousand dollars to spend on a Brioni suit, I certainly wouldn't turn it down. Quality is quality, after all.

...thank you for the sad truth...EW!!! Those yucky guys put their cooties on Brioni to the point that people know it...??? After this, I'll no longer wear the items with the tags prominently displayed...!!!!!! ahahaha!

Well, it isn't Brioni's fault, of course, no more than it is Burberry's. In fact, I find such prejudicial associations annoying if people take them too seriously. It's the intrinsic quality of the thing that matters, not its label.

...oh, of course: I was just joking by implying that I kept the paper or metal tags visible on the garments to show the names off...yes, if something is genuinely *good*, than it doesn't matter if it's famous brand, or some mom-and-pop product, or handmade by me or you, or dime-store (if anything still costs a dime) or hard-to-find...if somehow a label *invited* certain folks, like some who seek association with the rap culture or opera aficionados, for example, than yes, it is indeed a different matter, but if good quality products get taken up by any groups, it is not the fault of the label...!
