The deep seas is home to countless chimeras and apparaitions, and this beast is no different. The skin texture, the illuminated eyes and tendrils, the colors! Had to illustrate one of these for the American Museum of Natural History identification key project. Marvelous new abyssal animals they're discovering right now.

Apparently, they are found living only in two small caves in Thailand, and are adapted only to live under subterranean waterfalls. Lousy resolution, but striking nonetheless. Pink, luminous little things.
